Chrysler Supports Diversity Through National Student Case Competition

A variety of makes and models, ranging from the Chrysler 300 sedan to the Town and Country minivan to the Chrysler 200 Convertible can be found within the new Chrysler lineup . But its vehicles isn't the only place the company   promotes variety. Chrysler Group LLC also supports diversity and talent development within its community through sponsorship of the National Student Case Competition.

This year the competition took place in Atlanta from October 4-8 where talented MBA students from top business schools around the country competed for $50,000 in scholarships. In order to test innovation and problem-solving capabilities, the competitors are given hypothetical business cases which they must contrive creative solutions for. Winners are selected after students present their solutions in front of a high-power panel of business executives.

"Programs like the National Student Case Competition enable Chrysler Group to identify the talented future business leaders," said Chrysler Group LLC Senior VP of HR Nancy A. Rae. "Over the years, the competition has evolved into the premier showcase event for student achievement and an important way Chrysler Group demonstrates its continuing commitment to developing diverse talent and future business leaders."

Recognized on multiple occasions by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation, Chrysler is a long-time supporter of diversity and inclusion. Senior VP of HR Rae also happens to be Co-Chair of the company's Global Diversity Council which serves to further support diversity initiatives that Chrysler assumes.

"Chrysler and its people have a future with promise. We will reach the full measure of that promise only as one, united diverse team,"2 said the council's executive sponsor, CEO Sergio Marchionne.
