Cadillac ATS May Receive 2.0 Liter Turbo Four Cylinder

Cadillac's new flagship and replacement for the outgoing Cadillac DTS (currently on sale at Stan McNabb Automotive in Tullahoma, TN) will be the much teased ATS. It's all over the web these days, and rumors come right along with it.

The latest is a report that GM will place a 2.0-liter turbocharged four cylinder into the ATS chassis.

This small-displacement engine will reportedly to produce between 270 and 280 horsepower. "Those are impressive figures," adds online car mag Auto Blog. "Though there's no indication as to whether or not the engine will require premium fuel." - 1

GM adds that the new 2.0-liter will be similar to the 2.5-liter Ecotec four-cylinder the American auto maker places in some Chevy and Buick models. The car will see a huge boost in takeoff speed, while keeping a respectable MPG range.

The wait is soon over, as Cadillac's ATS will hit dealership lots next year.
